OUR STUDENTS

Whether you’re an adult hobbyiest, an experienced high school player,  a performer, or  classical musician  wanting to learn jazz and Brazilian music,   our groupings provide opportunities at every level.   With a 6:1 staff/student ration, students are assured that individual interests and needs can be addressed.

OUR CURRICULA

Directors Roni Ben-Hur and Nilson Matta, have scultped a program in collaboration with our teaching artists Amy London and Bill McHeny to guide students in reaching ”their own next leve” and having a roadmap for subsequent studies at home.  In the context of  learning and performing repertoire  morning though the evening,  specific classes in  improvisation, harmony, accompaniment,  ensemble and performance skills provide integrated curricula, resulting in comprehensive and in-depth curricula.

ACADIA NATIONAL PARK

Our venue is just minutes away from Acadia National Park.  Students often take advantage of our mid-day break for a ride or stroll on its extensive networks of carriage trails.  For those who do not have a car, the Island Explorer – a free shuttle – stops on campus taking you to all locations within the Park.

BAR HARBOR AREA

One of several towns on Mt. Desert Island, the town of Bar Harbor is 5 minutes from College of the Atlantic.  In addition to varied cuisine and shops, the town boasts a  variety of activities, inclouding whale-watching, sunset schooner tours of Frenchman’s Bay, kayaking, and even its own museum!
